Owls’ Nest – after school, every day until 5:45pm (4:30pm Friday)
There will be time to do homework and they’ll enjoy a significant snack; such as sandwich, soup and bread, or baked beans on toast, plus fruit.
Additionally, our activities, over each month will cover a wide range of interests including cooking, books, arts and crafts, sports, outdoor play, film reviews, Lego, board games, Glee style choir, junk model building and ICT. Our main aim is for everyone to have fun, but along the way children will be learning new skills and developing friendships.

The school governors and I are very pleased to be supporting families by providing wrap around care however no funding is available to set up and run the club, so all costs must be covered by payments from parents. Please spread the word about the club and help us make it a great success!
After school clubs and activities
We run a rich and varied programme of clubs. Most are run by staff, others are run by parent volunteers and we also have a number of qualified coaches who run some of our sports clubs. We are proud of the standards in our clubs and the children enjoy the exciting opportunities on offer. A letter with a sign-up form is sent out at the very end or beginning of each term. It is a great way for children to try out different things and to work with children from different age groups. We aim to keep the cost of clubs to a minimum and many are free. Some external club providers will liaise directly with parents for payment.
- After school clubs generally run from 3.15pm at the end of the school day for an hour.
- Lunchtime clubs run from 12.15 to 12.55pm.
A register is taken at the start of each club, so if your child has to miss a club for any reason, please write a note to let the school know. Parents should wait in the playground for children to come out to them at the end of their club.
Children in Reception are given opportunities to join in After School Clubs in the summer term.
Some clubs are run by parents. If you are interested in sharing your skills in this way, please speak to the office. . The school is very grateful for the way that staff and volunteers give their time to support our fabulous range of clubs in this way.
