Times & Fees

On requesting a place for your child, you will be asked to complete a registration form and parent contract.

Our registration form provides Burbage Pre-school with details about your child and of those who have parental responsibility and legal contact, together with details of those who have permission to collect your child from pre-school and of those who may be contacted in an emergency.

Our parent contract is a contract between Excalibur Academies Trust who own and manage Burbage Pre-school, and the parents or legal guardian (referred to as the parent) of a child that is enrolled at Burbage Pre-school.

Sibling discount

We are able to offer a sibling discount if you have two or more children attending Burbage Pre-school at any one time that you are paying for (i.e. not using government funding).  The discount for second and subsequent children is half the rate of the oldest child.

Invoices will be issued in advance of the term to which they relate.

Payment is due within 14 days of the start of the term to which they relate. Additional sessions will be invoiced at the end of the month in which they arise and are due for payment within 7 days.

Unpaid/late payments will be subject to a late payment charge of £5 per week outstanding. In addition, we reserve the right to charge daily interest on all outstanding amounts at the rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate. Continued late payment may result in the withdrawal of your child’s place at pre-school.

Payment should be made by BACS using the following information:

Account Number 36477968
Reference Your child’s surname and first initial

Late collection fees will be invoiced at the end of the month in which the late collection occurs.

Fees are payable for sessions that are booked regardless of attendance. No fee is charged for statutory holidays but fees remain payable where a child is absent from pre-school eg due to holidays or sickness. Refunds will not be given for missed sessions (except in exceptional circumstances).

A minimum of six weeks’ notice will be given prior to any increase in fees.

Contract period

The minimum contract period is one term (there being six terms per academic year).

Notice period

We require a minimum of one term’s written notice commencing from the first day of the term to reduce or cancel your child’s regular booking.

Sickness policy

You must immediately inform us if your child is suffering from any contagious disease, or if your child has been diagnosed by a medical practitioner with a notifiable disease. For the benefit of other children attending you must not allow your child to attend whilst they are contagious and pose a risk to other children during normal daily activities. Any child who has a sickness bug must be clear of sickness and/or diarrhoea for 48 hours before returning to pre-school.

Providing a safe environment for children to learn in is our highest priority. Our Safeguarding Policy can be found here

All additional policies are available for inspection; please speak to Mrs Camp for further information.
